Welcome to Burton Waters Boat Sales.
Our family business was started as Lincoln Marina in 1988 and was originally based alongside Brayford Pool in Lincoln. However, the business outgrew the facilities there and we moved to a new marina development at Burton Waters on the outskirts of Lincoln, and into new large purpose built buildings.
Our facilities here at Burton Waters include a sales suite alongside the Marina and large workshops facilities, which include boat repairs, joinery, electronics and engineering. Our workshop staff are fully trained specialists, offering a range of services encompassing engine servicing and repairs (we are an approved dealer for Volvo and Mercury), boat repairs in GRP and steel, electronics, and boat fit out. With car parking and hard standing area, we have everything for the boating enthusiast.
In September 2007, we opened our second sales office in Ipswich. Based at Ipswich Haven Marina, Burton Waters Boat Sales Ipswich offers a sales suite, a large chandlery selection, water moorings, hard standing, engineering services, and car parking.
For customers seeking pre-owned boats, we offer a wide range of used boat stock. All our stock boats are sold with a current service, polish and valet. To give our customers peace of mind, we provide a 3-month engine warranty (excluding gearbox and out drives). With access to stock throughout Europe and our part-exchange facility, we have new stock arriving weekly.
We also offer a range of new boats; we introduced Dufour to our range in August 2008, followed by Bayliner in January 2011 and finally, our latest dealership, introduced Princess in 2012. We feel our range of new motor and sailing boats provides our customers with a suitable variety, starting with beginners up to seasoned enthusiasts.
Boat brokerage is an important area of our operations and our dedicated sales team currently sell more than 200 boats a year, ranging from small day boats to large motor boats and sailing yachts. In fact they will, in their own words, “sell anything that floats” and are always on the lookout for boats to list!
We are committed to providing a friendly, first class service to our customers, delivering expert help and advice to ensure that all transactions are smooth and worry-free. Many of our clients are repeat customers, so we have been with them for every footage of their boating life. Our offices are open 7 days a week, with an out of hours salesman available up until 7pm, to ensure we are always here to help you find the boat of your dreams.
We wish you luck in the hunt for your new or next boat and we hope that Burton Waters Boat Sales can help.
The Directors & Staff of Burton Waters Boat Sales
Burton Waters is a pleasant place to work and we are proud that the majority of our staff have been with us for a long time. Luke Adam has been with us since our early days at Lincoln Marina and has learned his trade with us, he is now our Senior Engineer. Peter King joined us in May 2000, to work in the workshops, but quickly worked his way up to becoming General Manager. Peter is our logistics man and takes great pride in the aftercare he provides. Sarah Peacock, our Boat Administrator, is so helpful and a stickler for the correct paperwork and is again a long serving member of our team. Andrew Pitchford started washing boats for us, whilst being at school. When he left school, he pursued a career as a joiner, but soon realized his passion lay in sales. We recognised his potential and Andrew has since become another valued member of the team. Kevin Betts was born with a spanner in his hand, there isn’t much he doesn’t know.
We have a dedicated team at Burton Waters, they are always striving to give you the best experience possible, no matter what your needs are; we will endeavor to achieve them. You can meet our full Lincoln and Ipswich teams on our Meet the Lincoln team and Meet the Ipswich team pages.
