Burton Waters Boat Sales, very much a family-led business, is now one of the most established and successful boat dealerships in the UK. In the boating industry since 1988, Burton Waters has gone from strength to strength, now operating from four offices along the East and South Coast including Lincoln (Head Office), Lowestoft, Ipswich and Southampton.

Richard Stead – Director

Having spent most of his life on the water, Richard’s career path in the marine industry was already carved. Having owned a marine transportation company dealing mainly with Sealine, Princess and Fairline, he decided the more glamorous side was for him, and joined Sealine in early 2000 on the sales side. In 2005 Richard moved to Princess, running the Poole office but, after a brief time with Princess, an opportunity arose to open the Burton Waters Southampton office and, since the very first opening day, we have gone from strength to strength.

James Tucker – Sales/After Sales

After studying Marine Leisure Management at college, James got his first job with Sealine Sales Limited in 2001. He left Sealine in 2005 and spent a year self-employed before joining Burton Waters Southampton in 2006.

James Armitage – Yacht Sales/Brokerage

Born in New Zealand, James has the advantage of sailing in his genes, having just arrived to the UK to gain more in-depth knowledge of the sailing market. James’ job will be to strengthen our sailing section offering brokerage and stock sail boats for sale. He is a welcome addition to our Southampton office and we feel very lucky to have him. He is very enthusiastic about his role and we are sure will bring a breath of fresh air to our brokerage customers.

Jason Healy – Engineer

Jason has over 18 years’ experience working in the marine industry with companies such as Princess and Fairline. He originally started in the Royal fleet auxiliary.

Gary Miles – Valeter/General Maintenance

Gary has been professionally valeting for over 12 years and holds a class 1 HGV driving licence.
