Up on Deck
Upon arriving to the boat, the avid Sailor and Crew are warmly invited to step aboard with ease and grace, courtesy of the hinged, teak-clad Boarding platform. This continuity of elegant teak extends forward to the Cockpit sole and features atop the cockpit benches, comfortably seating a party of six.
Likewise, Boarding or disembarking when not stern-to is made safe by parallel guardrail openings to both port and stb'd.
The solid Oak cockpit table is double-leafed with stainless steel arms making for a stable surface upon which to dine al fresco come warm summer evenings, and the fixed nature of the table doubles as the perfect brace for seated crew whilst underway. The cockpit table also features a deep, self-draining storage box perfect for chilling a few bottles of your favourite beverage over ice. Whether you envisage a raucous party or a more relaxed affair, anchored at sea or in the Marina, the cockpit is the perfect space upon which to entertain and kick-back.
For stowing away lines and other items whilst underway, there are two parallel hatch lockers located under each cockpit bench.
At the Dual Helm, both master and accomplice may commandeer the seas in tandem. Each respective pedestal has clear visibility of the upgraded Garmin multi-button, 8" Chart Plotter that is centrally mounted in front of the fixed cockpit table on a binnacle. Upon which, rests the orbital compass, and each helm features a Garmin GMI20 3" Digital Display providing real time tri-data information (speed, wind, temp.). These are mounted into the tailing port and starboard GRP aft coamings that, along with the waist-high transom rails, enclosure each helm position for your added assurance of safety whilst at sea.
Immediately forward of the helm positions, feature a pair of gleaming Aluminium, 2-gear, self-tailing Lewmar Evo sheet winches. Either side of the teak companionway, feature matching single-gear, self-tailing Lewmar Evo Aluminium Halyard winches and two winch handles stowed conveniently within the Metallic Grey Sprayhood pockets.
The engine management panel, temperature gauge, fuel gauge, rev counter and throttle are located to starboard, as is the additional Garmin Digital Display governing the Autopilot system. Whilst the helmsman to starboard will have the privilege of the throttle at his fingertips, the helmsman to port may manage the far more important task at hand, that is, of music choice courtesy of the flush mounted Fusion Audio digital display responsible for those dulcet or not so dulcet tones, depending upon your music taste, emanating from the single Fusion cockpit speaker at each dual-helm position.
Also featuring out on deck, there are six stainless steel cleats, grab rails on the coachroof, anti-slip textured GRP sole extending beyond the cockpit up to the bow, electric windlass with anchor roller and 50m of Galvanised steel Chain attached to a 10kg Delta Anchor.
If you plan to remain in UK waters and decide to take a plunge whilst at anchor, simply fold down the transom boarding platform, install the folding teak tread swimming ladder into the base plates and dive in! For those familiar with the 2005 film 'Open Water' and fearful of forgetting to install your swimming ladder prior to jumping in, fear not! The starboard transom features two mounted stainless steel bars to hoist yourself back up as well as a means of engaging an Emergency inflatable ladder.
The adjoining double teak doors with perspex inserts at the Companionway are held in place by magnetic holds granting you wide access down into the contemporary, cavernous living quarters. The solid Mahogany handrail to port and dovetailed joinery composed of the three solid, winged, and tri-rubber stripped Mahogany steps guarantee sure footing whether ascending or descending, whatever the conditions.
Immediately to starboard, resides the functional 'L' shaped Galley complete with Isotherm chest fridge inset to the metallic grey work tops lined with raised oak, warm mahogany fittings, oven, two gimballed gas burners and craned stainless steel hot/cold water tap with a deep sink unit below.
Natural light floods into the cabin from the panoramic hull windows, the lifting twin hatches embedded in the headlinings above and via the companionway aft, which accentuate the sense of space onboard and being at one with the outside world. Whilst upgraded Oceanline flooring throughout with proprietary Autumnal brown coupled with thin off-white vertical stripes equally accentuate the length of each cabin. To create a more enclosed, intimate setting when the day is out, privacy is delivered by way of fastened curtains falling below the hull windows.
Across from the Galley, an angled bulkhead in place of where a navigation table would have otherwise been, separates the single head and shower from the remainder of the living quarters. The head composes a Jabsco toilet, deep angular sink, shower head with self-draining sole, hanging locker, 12v socket, mounted stainless steel roll holder and mirror.
Forward of the Galley, here at the widest section of the mid-ships lies the Saloon comprised of a fixed, double-leafed oak and mahogany table with inset storage box complement, deep enough to hide away up to 6 bottles of good wine. There are also two very deep button-release drawers for stowing away maps and navigational tools. Running the remaining length of the cabin towards the forward cabin bulkhead, lie two comfortable parallel settees, complete with ascetically pleasing cross-hatch patterned, creamy cotton upholstery, delivering a comfortable area to dine and rest.
Uniform to the settee arrangement and mounted to both port and stb'd sides, are three consecutive lockers delivering symmetrical synergy to complete the successful blend of minimalist and contemporary interior design principles at play.
The port and starboard aft cabins are almost identical, both featuring a double berth mattress with contemporary 'Living' fabric, side shelving for personal effects, single European mains plug, adjustable reading lamp, roller blinds, two hull windows, and a surprisingly deep wardrobe with rail for hanging your evening clothes and three shelves for your sailing gear.
In front of the fitted wardrobe there is a shallow bench seat with cushion allowing one to take a pew whilst getting ready for the exciting day ahead.
The standing area, behind the door to the starboard Cabin features a hatch that provides additional side access to the Engine bay ensuring that your engineer may access all serviceable parts of your engine without hassle.
Whilst not intended to be confused with a master cabin as we have grown accustomed with on larger yachts, the forward cabin remains surprisingly large considering this relatively small yacht has managed to comfortably provide enough space for three separate cabins in total. The standing area upon entry is flooded with light from the overhead hatch and also provides ample stowage in matching fitted cupboards, to port - three shelves with additional deep space in the bottom to stow items and to starboard a large wardrobe complete with rail for garments.
With twin adjustable reading lamps and light contemporary surrounds, the forward cabin maintains the impression of delivering upon ample comfortable space after an exhilarating day out at sea.
