Bavaria Cruiser 51

The CRUISER 51 easily adapts to all crew sizes. The CRUISER 51 can be tailored to the individual needs of her owner – she can comfortably accommodate up to six people in the standard 3-cabin version, eight people with the additional cabin starboard cabin or 10 crew members in the optional 5-cabin version.

She is one of the most popular privately owned BAVARIA yachts – probably one reason why she is also one of the most popular charter yachts in the world is that she is hard to beat when it comes to comfort and optimum sailing performance.

What does an Americas Cup yacht and a CRUISER 51 have in common? Both were drawn in the famous design office of Farr Yacht Design in Annapolis. Perfect sailing properties are the key to successful yacht design – and this is no different for the CRUISER 51. In her design lies the knowledge of hundreds of racing and cruising yachts, which gives her high speed potential while maintaining the safest possible seakeeping. It is thanks to the architects of Design Unlimited UK and the product managers at BAVARIA that you not only feel comfortable on a CRUISER 51, but that every inch of space below deck is put to optimal use. Together they have tested every line, every beam of light that enters the cabin, every aspect of ergonomics, every cabin and every space in the CRUISER 51 – over and over, until the unique interior of the CRUISER 51 met the high standards of her designer.

The CRUISER 51 has a spacious cockpit area, with comfortable seating and ergonomics that have been at the top of the designers' agenda. While the helmsman keeps the CRUISER 51 on course with an optimum view of the deck, sailing instruments and sails from both steering columns, the crew can enjoy the cruise from the newly designed cockpit table with its large side wings. Anything that does not belong on deck while sailing is stored in the large and spacious lockers and storage space under the cockpit floor.

Solid wood

When it comes to wood, over 30 years of experience in boat building craftsmanship are behind the workmanship in a BAVARIA. And although modern machines facilitate the boat builders' work in their own joiner's workshops, their sense of proportion and their know-how in dealing with different types of wood is a daily requirement that only they can meet. Mahogany, teak and oak timber along with walnut, chestnut and Ocean Line flooring – a CRUISER 51 offers individuality and an atmosphere in which you feel comfortable, no matter what type of wood you have chosen.

Cabin visions

The BAVARIA product managers have already made real visions of cabin versions come true on board the CRUISER 51. The owner's cabin is truly a luxury suite. With an en suite private head with separate shower cubicle to port, a walk-in closet to starboard, a separate desk and a large double berth, the owner cannot want for more. The two guest cabins aft are similarly generous, with a private head for each. The optional flexible bulkhead system on the CRUISER 51, unique in all the world, makes it possible to transform the forward cabin from a 2-cabin version into a spacious owner's cabin.
