The Nauticat 33 is a solid, well proven motor sailer with spacious accommodation for up to six in three cabins below deck.  This particular example has been very well maintained with a continual programme of maintenance, upgrades and improvements.

A good example of this practical, all weather cruiser with modern electronics and lots of new and updated equipment including Vetus bowthruster, a virtually brand new 9ft inflatable with Bison electric outboard, a six person life raft certified to 2028 and the benefit of standing rigging replaced in 2023.

Accommodation

The accommodation offers up to six berths in two cabins and saloon with good headroom throughout.

Sliding doors to both port and starboard doors, helm to port with large opening hatch above. Single seat and double bench seat aft.  Steps leading down and forward to saloon area with dinette to port, linear galley opposite with double stainless steel sink and hot and cold mixer tank, Flavell Vanessa two burner gas hob with oven and grill, cool box, Rannai gas hot water heater and ample stowage above and below. Companionway leading forward with heads to port with marine toilet and vanity unit and sink with hot and cold mixer tap with pull out shower. Hanging locker opposite. Forward cabin with V Berth and infill creating a double berth. Escape hatch to foredeck.

Mechanical and Electrical Systems

Located beneath the wheelhouse floor. Single Perkins 4.236 77hp 4 cylinder diesel inboard, new stainless steel propeller shaft, cutlass bearing and seals fitted June 2025. Aquapoise 3 bladed propeller. Full engine instrumentation. Single lever Morse engine controls. Vetus BOW55 55 kgf bowthruster (fitted 2021). 2 x New fuel tanks sensors and indicators just fitted. Cruising speed approx 6 knots. Maximum speed approx 8 knots.

Alternator charging to 1 x 180amp/hr leisure battery (LA) and 1 x 150amp/ hr start battery (LA).

2 x Stand alone 100 amp/hr leisure batteries leading to a 2000w Inverter (located under dinette)

Construction

Built by Siltala Yachts in 1972 to a design by W Aarnipalo. Blue GRP hull with white style band. GRP decks superstructure. Teak Wheelhouse.  Wheel steering to skeg hung rudder. Encapsulated ballast in long keel. Teak laid decks. Self draining anchor locker and self draining gas locker. Survey dated June 2021 available on request.
