The Sadler Starlight 35 is a well respected offshore passage maker with excellent sailing characteristics and renowned double skin, foam core construction.  A direct development of the highly successful Starlight 39, the 35 offers good performance and a modern, comfortable interior sleeping up to six below deck. 

‘Far Star’ is a good example of her class, she is very well equipped and benefits from a continual programme of upgrades and improvements including most recently, a modern, economical Nanni 29hp diesel engine, new gearbox and new upholstery throughout.

Accommodation

The accommodation offers up to six berths in three cabins with good headroom throughout.

Steps leading down from cockpit with galley to starboard side comprising double stainless sink with pressurised hot and cold mixer tap, Neptune 2000 two burner gas cooker with oven and grill, Isothern 12V refrigerator and plenty of stowage above and below.  Navigation area opposite to port with chart table, stowage beneath and seat. Settee berths to both sides and drop leaf table to centre with bottle stowage. Storage lockers above. Fixed and opening port lights to both sides. Opening hatch.

Forward cabin with V berth, storage beneath and infill creating a double, shelving outboard and large shelf over forward end.  Hanging locker. Vanity unit with stainless steel sink and hot and cold mixer tap with cabinet above to starboard side.

Double cabin aft to starboard side with hanging locker and shelves, opening portlight to cockpit. 

Separate heads compartment aft to port with Jabsco marine toilet and diverter valve to holding tank or overboard, moulded vanity unit with sink, hot and cold mixer tap / pull out shower, storage cupboard beneath and additional cabinet outboard to port.

12V lighting, teak and holly style flooring, curtains, Eberspacher D3L diesel fired warm air heating.

All new cushions and berths.

Mechanical and Electrical Systems

Located beneath the companionway, recently installed Nanni N3.30 29hp diesel engine – new in 2025 (4 hours run) and new gearbox (2025) shaft drive to two bladed fixed propeller. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Flexible engine mounts. Single lever engine controls on pedestal. Full engine instrumentation.

Construction

Built in 1992 by Sadler International Ltd to a design by Stephen Jones. White GRP hull, epoxy coated beneath waterline in 2005 with styling stripes. White GRP superstructure and moulded non-slip to decks. Aluminium toe rails. Cast lead/antimony wing keel. Wheel steering. Self draining cockpit with synthetic teak to cockpit sole, cockpit lockers and seating. Self draining anchor locker.
